Prework

Welcome to the PLTV Applied Research and Data Analysis Pro-Seminar!

To help things run smoothly, please do the following tasks before our first meeting on Friday, February 26:

  1. Join the #data-bootcamp Slack channel. This will be our primary means for communication throughout the semester. If you haven’t received an invitation or are having trouble accessing/using Slack, please let me know asap so we can figure out a solution that works for you. Email me at danielle.cosme@asc.upenn.edu

  2. Complete the ethics training through Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and send me your CITI certificate when you’ve completed it. This will enable me to add you to the Communication Neuroscience IRB and share relevant data with you.

  3. Download R and RStudio.

  4. Review the Syllabus and review the Code of Conduct.

To help you get acquainted to R and RStudio, please complete the following modules from the University of Oregon R Bootcamp Course.

These should be completed before Week 4.

  1. Welcome

  2. Basics of R and RStudio

  3. Data Types and Structures

  4. Functions and Debugging

All other modules are optional, but highly recommended!

Looking forward to working with y’all this semester!
